This locus consists of three exons and its expression leads to two transcripts that are testis-specific long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs). CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology was used to delete the entire transcribed region. RT-PCR and qRT-PCR analyses confirmed the absence of expression at the RNA level in the testes of homozygous mutant males. (J:238766, J:288171)
