LoxP sites were insterted to flank exon 7 of the gene. A neomycin selection cassette flanked by frt sites were inserted in the sequence between exon 6 and exon 8 of the endogenous allele. Flp-mediated recombination in the germline removed the neomycin cassette. (J:286991)
