CRISPR/Cas9 endonuclease-mediated genome editing is used to target exon 3 of the gene. Double stranded oligonucleotide donor DNAs were created encoding a deletion of 559 nucleotides (and a 1 nucleotide deletion one nucleotide down from the larger deletion) in exon 3. (J:101977)
