A DNA fragment carrying a 34bp loxP sequence and Pgk-1 promoter-driven neomycin phosphotransferase gene (Pgk-neo) flanked by two Flp recognition target (frt) sites was inserted into the site 233bp upstream of exon 4. Another loxP site was introduced into the site 223bp downstream of exon 4. The neomycin selection cassette was removed via Flp-mediated recombination in the germline, leaving loxP sites that flank exon 4. (J:242361)
