A loxP site and an FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette were inserted into intron 7, and a second loxP site downstream of exon 9 (the last exon). The neo cassette was subsequently deleted through flp-mediated recombination, leaving a conditional-ready allele with exons 8 and 9 floxed. (J:261035)
