An FRT site flanked puromycin resistance gene cassette replaced exons 2-6 (representing the majority of coding region and the entire 3' UTR). The puro cassette was removed through subsequent flp-mediated recombination. PCR experiments confirmed lack of expression from this null allele in bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs). (J:265431)
