A loxP site was inserted approximately 900 bp upstream of the first coding exon and a second loxP site along with a PGK-neomycin resistance cassette flanked by FRT sites was inserted approximately 350 bp downstream of the first coding exon. The selection cassette was removed via Flp-mediated recombination leaving exon 1 flanked by loxP sites. (J:269011)
