The targeting vector was constructed to insert a loxP site upstream of exon 2 and a FRT-flanked neomycin selection cassette and another loxP site downstream of exon 2. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exon 2 floxed. (J:101977)
