CRISPR/Cas9 technology deleted the promoter, transcriptional start site and exon 1. RNA-seq and qPCR from the lung epithelium indicate a more than 90% decrease in transcript expression. In addition, a modest decrease in Foxa2 expression is seen. (J:284174)
