Exon 2 was replaced by a loxP-exon2-frt-neo-frt-loxP targeting vector via homologous recombination. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 2 generating a premature stop codon. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein in mouse embryonic fibroblasts from E14.5 embryos. (J:282438)
