BAC clone RP23-331F16, which included the entire IL-15 genomic locus was modified as follows: Sequences coding for 2A-peptide from Thosea asigna virus (TaV) RAEGRGSLLTCGDVEENPGP, and Enhanced Green Fluorescence Protein (EGFP), were inserted at the end of exon 8. This transgene expresses both mouse Il15 and EGFP with the self-cleaving 2A linker. Founder line 20 containing 2 copies of the transgene was selected for further analysis. (J:193471)
