A neomycin selection cassette was inserted downstream of the 3' end of exon 9 and is flanked by two loxP sites. A single loxP site was also inserted upstream the 5 end of exon 7. This allele expresses a lowered amount of full-length Sec13 mRNA and protein levels. This is likely due to the inclusion of the neomycin selection casette. This effect generates a certain amount of truncated protein that is likely degraded but also yields the full-length transcript. (J:250176)
