Two loxP sites were introduced in intron 1 and intron 4. The neomycin expression cassette has been removed using the FRT/Flp system therefore a FRT site is also present in the vicinity of the loxP site in intron 4. Conditional excision with a Cre recombinase will remove the region encompassing exon 2 to exon 4 that encodes for the start codon, the first zinc finger and the first LXXLL motif. (J:82809)
