Exons 3 and 4 were flanked by loxP sites and an FRT-flanked puromycin resistance cassette was inserted downstream of exon 4 and immediately 5 to the loxP site within the 3' untranslated region. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection marker leaving exons 3-4 floxed. (J:277326)
