Mouse BAC RP23-336G22 was used as the basis of the targeting vector. A loxP site was inserted downstream of the sequence containing DNase1 hypersensitivity regions HS19 and HS20 (HS19-20). A loxP and frt site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was inserted upstream. The regulatory regions are located downstream of the Pcdhg cluster (and upstream of the neighboring Diaph1 gene on the reverse strand). (J:277249)
