Exon 2 was modified to produce the amino acid substitution of alanine for aspartic acid at position 23 (D23A) and glycine for lysine at position 24 (K24G) to abolish trypsinogen activation. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed neomycin resistance cassette. (J:267764)
