Tg(Thy1-Nrg1)FLMhsb

A mouse Nrg1 type IIIb1a cDNA, plus sequence for two hemagglutinin (HA) peptide tags inserted immediately after the ATG start codon, was placed downstream of the Thy1 promoter. This vector contains the entire Thy1 gene (including 5' promoter and 3' polyA signal sequences and neuronal-specific expression signal containing introns) with the coding region removed (from the ATG in exon 2 to the end in exon 4, including intervening introns 2 and 3). Nrg1 sequence was inserted between the remaining sequences of Thy1 exons 2 and 4. The transgene was injected into fertilized FVB oocytes. (J:262505)
