Most of exon 3 including the entire ORF was replaced with an in-frame EGFP coding sequence, followed by a loxP flanked neomycin selection cassette. RT-PCR analysis confirmed the absence of mRNA transcripts in the targeted ES cells and loss of mRNA expression in the brain and testis of hemizygous male mice. (J:274541)
