A flpe recombinase transgene, driven by the human ubiquitin C promoter, was inserted into intron 1. Downstream of the gene the transgene cassette also contains bovine growth hormone (BGH) polyadenylation signal sequence and a loxP site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette. The neo cassette was removed by breeding to cre allele carying mice. (J:274081)
