This BAC transgene encodes amino acids 1208 of African green monkey DTR (GenBank M93012) followed by a 12 residue linker (GSGGSGGSGGTG), a 19 residue aphthovirus 2A cleavage site (APVKQTLNFDLLKLAGDVESNPGP) and enhanced cyan fluorescent protein (amino acids 2239) (DTRCFP) under control of the mouse CCR2 promoter. Only one founder mouse transmitted the transgene through the germline. (J:214063)
