The targeting vector was designed to insert a loxP site upstream of exon 5, and second loxP site, followed by an FRT-flanked neomycin selection cassette, downstream of exon 6. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exons 5 and 6 floxed. (J:326596)
