This allele was generated through shotgun CRISPR/Cas9 editing using pooled sgRNAs that targeted each variable exon of the Pcdhg cluster and this allele was found to have a frameshift indel of exon C5 and a large rearrangement or deletion that encompasses almost all other variable exons from A1 through C3, leaving only exon C4 intact.
