The targeting construct inserted into the locus a CAGGS promoter (consisting of the chicken beta-actin promoter and the cytomegalovirus enhancer), a loxP-STOP-loxP cassette, a cDNA encoding a tandem FLAG-Myc-tagged mouse Nr5a1 gene, and a polyadenylation signal. This creates a conditional-ready allele where the inserted gene is only expressed after the removal of the STOP cassette through cre-mediated recombination. (J:269597)
