Exon 10 along with 181 intronic bases upstream and 234 bases downstream were replaced with a loxP-flanked neomycin resistance cassette. The neo was removed via cre-mediated recombination. RT-PCR and sequencing confirmed the expression of the shorter 9-11 splice variant RNA. (J:268252)
