Col1a1^{tm1(tetO-GFP/RNAi:Sod2)Gsha}

A replacement vector (TRE-tGFP-miRE\Sod2_835_shRNA_1) was constructed to have an FRT site, a Tet-responsive element followed by the constitutively active, minimal human cytomegalovirus promoter, an IRES-turboGFP sequence (tGFP; a fast-maturating and short-half-life green fluorescent protein variant); Sod2_835_shRNA_1 (placed in the tGFP 3' UTR), an RBG polyA sequence and an FRT site. The Sod2_835_shRNA_1 is comprised of a 141 bp shRNA sequence that yields significant reduction of SOD2 expression at the mRNA and protein level. The vector is inserted in the Col1a1 locus. (J:267914)
