The mouse Polg cDNA in which an aspartate residue at position 181 was replaced with an alanine is under the control of the mouse calcium/calmodulin-activated protein kinase II alpha promoter. Three lines (A, B, and C) were generated. Line B is the high mRNA expressing line. RT-PCR confirmed expression of mRNA that is as abundant as the endogenous wild-type mRNA in most parts of the forebrain and mutant expression is nearly restricted in the brain. (J:127895)
