Exon 16 was replaced with one in which the palmitoylation site at cysteine 811 is mutated to serine (C811S). In addition, a silent NruI site mutation was introduced just after the serine mutation site to distinguish the mutant allele. A loxP-flanked PGK-neomycin resistant cassette was inserted at intron 15. Cre-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette. (J:267285)
