The mouse BAC (CITB-31B1) did not contain the complete Usp9y gene. The BAC was modified to add missing exons 23-47 by recombineering spliced cDNA sequence into the sequences. This modified BAC was used to make transgenic mice. Two lines were generated with 20 and 22 copies, respectively, of the transgene. (J:171865)
