A loxP site was inserted 216 bp downstream of exon 12 and a PGK promoter-driven neomycin resistance cassette flanked by frt-sites and preceded by another loxP site were inserted 265 bp upstream of exon 12. The selection cassette was removed via Flp-mediated recombination leaving exon 12 foxed. (J:266630)
