The targeting vector contains an FRT-flanked neomycin selection cassette and a loxP site inserted downstream of exon 5 of the targeted gene, and another loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 4. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exons 4 through 5 floxed. (J:235757)
