A vector was generated in which the cre/ERT2 gene is driven by the 1.8 kb promoter of Lcn5. The transgene was introduced into fertilized zygotes by microinjection, and these injected embryos were implanted into the oviducts of female mice. 6 founders were identified by PCR, but founder information and line numbers were not available.
