A neo cassette flanked by two FRT sites was inserted upstream of exon 3 and two loxP sites were inserted to flank exon 3. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and cre-mediated recombination deleted exon 3. Western blot analysis confirmed absence of protein. (J:166881)
