The transgene construct comprises the following elements: the tetracycline response element (TRE) containing promoter tetO, the rat beta double C2 cDNA, sequence for a C-terminal Myc-His tag, an IRES, the EGFP fluorescent reporter gene, and poly(A) signal sequence. This allele, when co-expressed with an rTA or rtTA expressing allele, will express the inserted genes in a tetracycline/doxycycline inducible manner. (J:264812)
