An FRT flanked DsRed gene and stop codon and loxP site were inserted upstream of exon 3 and a loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 5 via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the DsRed gene and stop codon leaving exons 3 - 5 floxed. (J:242894)
