This transgene consists of the 1.8-kb chicken beta-actin promoter (pCAG), loxP-flanked GFP cassette acting as a STOP cassette, ALK cDNA containing the phenylalanine to leucine mutation at amino acid 1174 (F1174L), IRES, and a fusion construct encoding firefly luciferase and chicken ovalbumin. This line showed the highest luciferase activity upon cre-mediated removal of the GFP. (J:186696)
