A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2 and an FRT flanked pgk-neo cassette and loxP site were inserted downstream of exon 4 via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Null allele was obtained after in situ Cre recombination, using a Cre expressing plasmid. Western blot validating the absence of UBAP2L protein.
