Mus musculus molossinus BAC clone MSMg01-047A16 (175.6 kb long; from the Riken BioResource Resaerch Center) was microinjected into the pronuclei of fertilized FVB/N oocytes. This BAC contains gene Pth and upstream sequence that includes the Btbd10 and Arntl genes. The molossinus allele of Pth contains a p.Val28Met substitution (compared to FVB/N) that confers a level of protection against skin carcinogenesis to mice carying this (trans)gene. (J:255758)
