A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 5. An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 6. Cre-mediated removed exons 5 and 6 along with the selection cassette. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on mouse embryonic fibroblasts. (J:262629)
