The human SFTPC promoter was used to drive the expression of mouse Fstl1 gene. Three lines were generated; the second line was back-crossed onto C57BL/6J background for at least 12 generations for further analysis. Increased expression was seen in lung epithelium as early as E12.5 and through adulthood. (J:249155)
