The entire coding region of the prepro-QRFP sequence in exon 2 of the gene was replaced with an enhanced GFP sequence and a pgk-Neo selection cassette. GFP fluorescence was detected in QRFP neurons without any ectopic expression. Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization of brain coronal sections confirmed the complete absence of protein expression in homozygous mutant mice. (J:250913)
