The targeting vector is designed to replace exons 1-2 with, from 5' to 3', a loxP site, an FRT site, a neomycin resistance (neo) cassette in reverse orientation to the gene, a second loxP site, and a second FRT site. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. (J:188767)
