This knockout reporter allele, which was generated by Cre recombinase from Bsph2tm1Osb, lacks exons 3 and 4 of the endogenous gene and retains from the targeting construct (EUCOMM vector PG00143_Z_7_G04) only the lacZ reporter (driven by the endogenous promoter) flanked by one FRT and one loxP site.
