Exon 3 was replaced with one in which the RGD sequence was mutated to a nonintegrin-binding RGE sequence (CGGGGGGAC to CGGGGGGAG) and a FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette was inserted downstream of exon 6. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette. Western blot analysis confirmed expression of the mutated protein. (J:235162)
