Exon 1 was flanked by loxP sites. An FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was inserted into intron 1. The neo cassette was removed through subsequent flp-mediated recombination. This creates a conditional-ready allele with exon 1 floxed. (J:253309)
