A 3.4 kb gene segment including exons 14 was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Northern blot analysis on total kidney RNA showed that no detectable transcript was present in homozygous mutant mice. Western blot analysis on kidney membrane fractions showed that no detectable encoded protein is present in homozygous mutant mice. (J:260689)
