A loxP site and a FRT-flanked neomycin resistance gene were inserted upstream of exon 3 and a second loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. Cre-mediated recombination removed both the neomycin gene and exon 3. Immunohistochemical analysis confirmed absence of protein in the artery and kidney glomerulus. (J:260681)
