A loxP site was inserted upstream of Mir23a and an FRT-flanked pgk-neo cassette, duplicate copy of Mir27a and loxP site were inserted downstream of Mir23a. The extra copy of Mir27a ensures that the full flanking region of the microRNA is maintained after Cre-mediated recombination. (J:258662)
