A loxP site was introduced ~900 bp upstream of exon 1 and a loxP-flanked neomycin resistance cassette 120 bp downstream of exon 2. Cre recombinase deleted the selection cassette, leaving exons 1 and 2, encoding the first 33 amino acids of the protein, flanked by loxP sites. This allele was derived from the same targeting event as Col15a1tm1Pih. (J:67212)
