A bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) DNA (Life Technologies) that included mouse Astl (BMQ56H22) was used to construct the transgene. These mice express ovastacin tagged with fluorescent mCherry at the C-terminus under the control of the endogenous Astl promoter. (J:239512)
