The targeting vector contains a loxP site inserted in the promoter region 660 bp upstream of exon 1 and a loxP site followed by a FRT-flanked neomycin cassette inserted into intron 1. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette. (J:241873)
